Two blogs to recommend, both by old pals.
If you have any interest in out-of-the-way corners of Canadian literature, pay a visit to Brian Busby's entertaining blog, The Dusty Bookcase, if for no other reason than Brian holds a watching brief on the (non) appearance of Prime Minister Harper's much ballyhooed hockey book.
Vancouver book publisher Rolf Maurer has been writing an intriguing series of posts about the history of the People's Co-op Bookstore in Vancouver and some of the strategies adopted by his own publishing company, New Star Books, to cope with the changes that have been occurring in the book business. I've linked to the latest post but the whole series makes intructive reading.
